We, the founders, were once members of various child and youth clubs. Our time in these clubs ignited a passion for community development and social justice within us. We became fully aware of the pressing issues facing our communities, particularly in the realms of child rights, women’s rights, human rights, health, education, WASH, disaster and environment.
In 2008, Nepal underwent a significant political transformation, transitioning from a monarchy to a federal democratic republic. This period was marked by a lack of effective local governance, which fueled corruption and hindered community development efforts. Recognizing the need for proactive, community-driven solutions, we decided to take action.
Drawing on our shared experiences and values, we officially registered Campaign Nepal for Research and Development in 2008.
