Campaign Nepal for Research & Development is a non-political, secular, and non-profit-making organisation established in 2008, with its head office in Rautahat District, Nepal. The organisation is actively engaged in community development and humanitarian assistance across the Terai region. In collaboration with various development partners, Campaign Nepal works to promote social and economic development, inclusive governance, and human rights.

Under the SAMA-SAMA Project, Campaign Nepal is developing and implementing the Future Leaders and Executives Empowerment Training (FLEET) program across 7 Local Government Units (LGUs) in Madhesh Province. The project aims to increase the capacity of women and youth from marginalised groups (WYMGs) to negotiate equitable and inclusive participation in political leadership and local policy decisions.

Campaign Nepal hereby invites applications from qualified, competent, and eligible independent individuals for the role of Local Resource Persons / Trainers (2 Positions) to lead the execution of these training modules.

1. Scope of Work & Deliverables

The selected resource persons will be expected to successfully plan, coordinate, and execute the following training packages using approved manual modules covering GESI, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in politics, human/environmental rights, and feminist leadership:

  • Core FLEET Capacity Building Training: Facilitate 5 training events (3 days per event).
  • FLEET Refresher Training: Facilitate 5 follow-up training events (1 day per event).
  • Post-Event Outputs: Compile and submit comprehensive training reports, participant evaluation syntheses, and pre-/post-test scoring data.

2. Eligibility & Mandatory Criteria

Interested individual experts must demonstrate the following minimum qualifications and competencies:

  • Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a closely related academic discipline (a Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Experience: A proven, successful track record of conducting and facilitating participatory, adult-centred training programs at the community, local government, or institutional levels.
  • Thematic Expertise: Strong conceptual and technical knowledge of Gender Equality, Social Inclusion (GESI), Human Rights, Environmental Rights, and Political Leadership frameworks.
  • Pedagogical Skills: Proven ability to facilitate feminist reflection tools, non-hierarchical learning processes, and maintain an inclusive, structurally safe learning ecosystem for young diverse leaders.

3. Application Components & Requirements

  1. Letter of Interest: A formal cover letter detailing your thematic expertise and suitability for this specific assignment.
  2. Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV): An up-to-date CV explicitly highlighting extensive experience and past assignments in training facilitation.
  3. Financial Proposal: A statement clearly specifying your proposed daily allowance alongside expectations for any other required facilities and benefits.
  4. Conflict of Interest Disclosure: A formal declaration of any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest involving Campaign Nepal’s management, board members, or staff. Non-disclosure may result in immediate disqualification.
