Campaign Nepal is a non-political, secular, and non-profit organisation established in 2008, with its head office in the Rautahat district (Madhesh Province) of Nepal. The organisation is engaged in community development and humanitarian assistance sectors with a focus on WASH, health, and education promotion in the Terai region of Nepal. It works for poor, vulnerable, marginalized, and socially excluded communities and institutions (including children, women, youth, schools, and health centres) with the support of various funding agencies to promote social and economic development and uphold their well-being and human rights.

Campaign Nepal is conducting the statutory audit for FY 2080/081 and invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified Chartered Accountant firms to conduct a statutory audit, including all donor-funded projects, for the fiscal year 2080/081.

Scope of Work

  1. The audit will be carried out following International Auditing Standards (IAS) and will include tests and verification procedures as the auditors deem necessary.
  2. Verify that all funds have been used in accordance with the established rules and regulations of the organisation and project funding partners and for the purposes for which the funds were provided.
  3. Ensure appropriate supporting documents, records, and books of accounts relating to all activities have been kept. Clear linkages should exist between the books of accounts and the financial statements presented to:
    • Ensure the financial statements have been prepared by the organisation in accordance with applicable accounting standards and give a true and fair view of the financial position of the organisation and its receipts and expenditures for the period ended on that date.
    • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of the accounting and overall internal control system to monitor expenditures and other financial transactions.
    • Express an opinion on the reasonableness of the financial statements in all material respects.
    • Include in their reports an opinion on compliance with procedures designed to provide reasonable assurance of detecting misstatements due to errors or fraud that are material in the financial statements.
    • Conduct entry and exit meetings with representatives of the organisation.

Description of Information

The organisation will provide the required information relating to the financial transactions, including project documents, the organisation’s rules and regulations, and other supporting information to the auditor as needed.

Audit Duration

The audit work should be completed within 30 days from the date of signing the agreement.

Deliverables

Upon completion of the audit work, the auditor will submit three (3) original copies of the Audit Report along with a management letter.

Document Requirements

Interested firms are required to submit the following documents mandatorily:

  1. A technical and financial proposal in the prescribed format
  2. Certificate of Practice (COP) with renewal
  3. Firm Registration Certificate in ICAN
  4. PAN registration certificate
  5. Latest Tax clearance certificate 
  6. Minimum 2 years of experience in the development sector (I/NGOs, etc.)

Application Procedure

The sealed or electronic EOI, along with the required documents mentioned above, should be submitted in person/postal or by a representative at the organisation’s office. The organisation will not be obliged to accept EOI documents that have arrived after the deadline, did not meet the specified documents, did not have the required experience, did not meet the specified standards, or were not completed properly. The organisation reserves the right to unconditionally accept or reject any application in full or partially.

Last Date of EOI Submission

Interested firms are requested to apply along with the prescribed necessary documents within 15 days (until 8 August 2024 at 05:00 PM) from the date of publication of this notice. If there is a public holiday on that day, the EOI can be submitted up to 05:00 PM on the next office opening day.
